RULES OF THE COMPETITION

• Eligible for application for the „ International vocal competition Zdar nad Sazavou 2012“ are singers (either sex) of all nationalities who have not yet reached their 35th birthday (maximum) nor during the competition’s days.
• Contestants are required to proof their identity and age before the competition starts.
• The competition has two rounds (women and men together)
• The contestant has to choose one aria from repertory list for 1st round
• The contestant has to choose two arias  from repertory list for  2nd round
• The contestant is not allowed to repeat a aria in any round which was already sung in the competition.

• The contestants  shall perform all pieces from memory.
• Repertory changes are allowed until February 15, 2012
• Transposing of scenes is not allowed.
• The competition repertory must be performed in the original language.
• The competition is public and non/anonymous.
• Accompanying piano players shall be made available to the contestants by organizer. The contestants are entitled to being accompanied by a piano player of their personal confidence at their own cost.
• The organizer of the competition will make the reservation of the hotel accommodation for the contestants  and accompanying piano players, if they ask for it.
• The festive proclamation of the competition results and the prize-giving ceremony will take place at the Closing concert of the winners on  May 20, 2012 in Zdar nad Sazavou.
• All the winners must attend and performe at the Closing concert.
• All the winners are required to perform at the winners concerts which are planned from May 21,2012 to May 25,2012 when organizers ask for it, otherwise they will lose claim to the prize. The organizer pays for the accommodation fees from 20th. - 25th. May,2012 for all those singers who stay for the concerts. Moreover, they will receive a symbolic honorary for each concert.
• The contestants agree with the eventual public audio or video recording without any claim to the fee.
• Information and music material can be obtained from the organizers of the competition.
• The contestants have to fill in an application form and send it by February 15, 2012 at the latest.
• The capacity of the competition is limited. In case of interest, please send the application form as soon as possible (date per post mark or email is relevant).
• The contestants have to fill in an application form and post to : Jakub Pustina ( International vocal competition), Mělkovice 2441, Žďár nad Sázavou, 591 01 CZECH REPUBLIC , or sent it via e-mail: info@pustinacompetition.cz until February 15, 2012. After sending the application form and received the confirmation about competition vacancy, the registration fee (100 EUR) shall be paid by 10 days. If the contestant fails to attend the competition, the registration fee shall not be reimbursed. The accommodation fee have be paid by contestant at the hotel during the check in time.

FEES AND PAYMENTS
 

Contestants pay for their: traveling expenses, hotel accommodation fee, and meals

Registration fee for participant:  100 EUR

Accomodation fee from May 17th to May 20th ,2012 (three nights) : 1500 CZK

The organizer will make the reservation of the hotel accommodation for the contestants and accompanists, if they ask for it.

Should a contestant ask for accommodation out of above mentioned dates (he/she comes earlier or leaves later), the organizer shall reserve a room for him/her at his/her own costs, the symbolic price of the room without breakfast being CZK 500.

The applicants have to fill in an application form and pay the registration fee by February 15,2011.  The entire information about payment of the registration fee will be sent via email to the applicant together with confirmation of competition’s capacity. Participation in the Competition will be confirmed only to those applicants, who will send a confirmation of advance payment by February 15, 2012 to the below mentioned address or via email: info@pustinacompetition.cz
